Words in Second Life

I’ve long thought about how Second Life is limited in its creativity. While there are plenty of tools for designers, there is almost nothing for those who’s creativity is about writing, rather than pushing pixels. There are virtually no text creation tool

blogHUD, which I’m using to write this, is at least a step in the right direction. You can write long posts, forward them on to a free blog, and – in the L$900 Pro version – even forwad these posts to another blog based on Blogger, WordPress or Typepad. T

While it’s limited – you can’t, for example, include much in the way of internal links, and of course, there’s no spell checker – there’s a geolocation system that tells others where you’re posting from, which is nice. I’m looking forward to future iterations – and I hope that the Lindens give some help in its development. We word people want some equal rights 🙂
